Cadence Xcelium support

Hi,

We are evaluating different simulator tools at my company and have so far managed to run UVVM in multiple simulators. But attempting to compile UVVM with Cadence Xcelium has been an exercise in frustration. It appears that several VHDL-2008 constructs used in UVVM are unsupported in Xcelium.

I see that Cadence Xcelium is missing from the Tool Compatibility list. Is this because it is untested or because of the aforementioned issues with VHDL-2008? Is there any ongoing effort to add support, or is this endeavor a complete write-off?

Hi,

The reason Cadence Xcelium is missing from the Tool Compatibility list is because we do not have this simulator available. Thus we have never been able to check it out or debug UVVM with this tool.
If Cadence is interested in fixing this, we would definitely like to help with the debugging.
