As we (the UVVM team) have been asked several times about the differences between UVVM and
OSVVM, and as we have seen lots of misleading “information” on this subject, we finally decided that
it was about time to give an overview of the many advantages of UVVM over OSVVM.

We are now in 2024. I hope and believe that UVVM is being updated with new features and we can see that OSVVM is certainly being maintained. Does this document need to be updated?
We cannot make new comparisons whenever there is an OSVVM or UVVM update. There has been several updates in UVVM since this comparison. These are also not included in this document. We might do a new comparison some time in the future, but currently we are focusing on our new UVVM-ESA-Extension project to make important new functionality in UVVM.
