Hi all,
I want to know if there is a way to exit the await\_completion method.

This is the scenario:
I have a DUT with a GPIO and a VVC that checks this GPIO. In my TB I have a process for generate stimulus for the DUT and a process with the GPIO check.

For the check I use a process with the following VVC method:

- gpio\_expect(GPIO\_VVCT,…) with time out 200 us
- await\_completion(GPIO\_VVCT,…) with time out 100 us
- others check steps

For the stimulus after perform some steps I need to assert a reset for the DUT. This reset will cause a time out in the await\_completion but this is a predictable behaviour that should not trigger a timeout.
So the question, is there a way to exit the await\_completion method without wait the timeout?

I tried with the

- terminate\_all\_commands(GPIO\_VVCT,…)

before asserting the reset in the stimulus process but this do not cause an exit from the await\_completion method.

Thanks
Emanuele

Hi Emanuele,

There is currently no way to exit the await\_completion() method, other than a timeout.
If there is a broader need for this, I assume there could be solutions that would work for a potential update.
